Sudip Kumar Gharami struck a maiden first-class hundred as Bengal amassed 773 in the first innings. With Jharkhand folding up for 298 in the first innings, a 475-run first innings lead was enough for Bengal to seal its spot in the semifinals. Even so, Manoj Tiwary helped himself to a hundred in Bengal’s 318/7d second innings essay.
